Robert Conrad "Connie" Young passed away on February 19, 2013. Although his body was tired, weak, and worn out, his spirit was, and continues to be, fully alive.

Connie was born October 10, 1932 and was the youngest son of Bert and Mattie Young. He lived his entire life in Boone County, Arkansas, except for his last few months, during which time he became a beloved part of the Harding Place family in Searcy, Arkansas.

Connie has now been reunited with his loving wife, Carolyn, who preceded him in death. Connie was called "Dad" by Lorri Ritchie and her husband Pete of London, England and Renee Miller and her husband Brian of Searcy, Arkansas. Connie was called "Papaw" by Olivia Ritchie, McKenzie Miller and Darby Miller. Connie was called "Brother" by Kenneth Young of Kansas City, Missouri and also by Norman Young and Lorraine "Anne" Bock, who preceded him in death. Connie was called "Uncle" by many nieces and nephews and was called "Friend" by countless others.

Connie enjoyed many things during his 80 years, including taking care of his farm, fishing and hunting, being an active member of the Bellefonte Church of Christ, hanging out at "the office", and spending time with friends. His two greatest loves, however, were God and his wife. His family that remains behind rejoices that he can now see those two loves face to face.

Funeral service was Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Bellefonte Church of Christ with Ray Crawford officiating.

Visitation was Saturday prior to the service.

Interment followed in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jim Dudley, Rex Brazell, Aaron Horis, Garland Brasel, Pete Ritchie, Ronny Robison, and Tom Young.

Honorary Pallbearers were Charlie Deaton, Buddy West, Gene Crawford, Don Fullerton, and Ervin Curtis.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Hills in Harrison or Searcy Childrens Home.
