Duke Shane Lee Criner

Duke Shane Lee Criner age 26 of Lurton, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home.

He was born February 26, 1987 in Harrison, Arkansas.

Duke loved hunting, fishing, motorcycles, four wheelers, trucks, the great outdoors and hanging with his many friends. He had lived all his life in Newton County.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. Jimmie and Leanner Dotson and Jim A. Criner; and an aunt, Janish Smith.

Survivors are his parents, Jack and Reda (Dotson) Criner of Lurton, Arkansas; grandmother, Lavern Criner of Jasper, Arkansas; three sisters, Venita Shatswell and Levita Larson both of Harrison, Arkansas and Mandy and Brian Cross of Hasty, Arkansas; two half brothers, B.J. and Craig both of Harrison, two half sisters, Brittany and Jessica both of Harrison; biological parents, Tina Daniel of Harrison and Randy Smith of Western Grove; biological grandparents, Eva Daniel and Lee Daniel of Harrison; special friend whom he thought of as a brother, Bradley "Opie" Woods and special friends he thought of as grandparents, Arlis and Yvonne Woods; several nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the First Pentecostal Church of Cowell with Rev. Jim Hatfield officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Vendor.

Visitation was Friday, March 1, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers were Brandon Riddell, Luke Myers, Bryon Lawrence, Fred Daniel, Lance Rocole, Nelson Daniel, B.J. Allen and Louie Riddell. Honorary pallbearers were all of his special doctors and nurses at UAMS in Little Rock, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
